Playstation 3 Will Have Motion Sensing
Engadget has released information that Sony will be debuting their new motion-sensing controller for the PS3 at E3. Kombo stated last month that several developers are already working on incorporating motion-sensors into already released games.
Engadget recieved word that Microsoft had developed a sensor bar to monitor whole-body motion for the 360. An actual photo of the set-up is out now, complete with what appears to be the on-screen calibration tool and the motion sensor hooked in front of the television.
The source from within Microsoft revealed that the device will be able to capture a full body's motion, and also gave some hints as to the device's other features;
-In fighting games you kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth with your body.
-It also picks up small hand gestures like pinching, grabbing and scrolling.
There will also be video conferencing and games with video.
-Trivia game over the internet with live images of each person playing. When a question pops up, they can clap to buzz in.
-You can "move objects on your screen" and the other party can see what you're doing in real time.
-Sensor detects only the person playing, not folks observing on the couch.
