Killzone 2 Third Fastest Selling PS3 Game Ever
Four years of hype have done good things for Killzone 2, as gamers gobbled up more than 750,000 copies on the game's opening weekend, according to preliminary data released Sunday by VGChartz.
That puts Killzone 2 behind only Grand Theft Auto 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 as the fastest moving PS3 game to date.
But it doesn't appear to be selling systems. Yet.
VGChartz: Early reports from retailers also suggest that there was "only a modest" increase in sales of PS3 hardware from the release of Killzone 2 but this was to be expected since Killzone 2 is selling primarily to existing PS3 owners and the true effect on hardware sales will only been seen over the next few weeks.
