| eGames: Playstation 3 Selling Quicker than PS2 | |
| The Playstation 3, which launched in Australia last March, has sold 100,000 consoles quicker than the Playstation 2 did. This is encouraging for Sony Australia, considering its tough competition in the Wii and XBOX 360 both doing well down under.
There is no doubt that the reduction in price from $999.95 to $699.95 (albeit with a smaller HDD) has helped the console achieve that milestone.
